Ask Your Representative to Support Stroke Awareness

Stroke is the 4th leading cause of death with 795,000 Americans suffering a new or recurring stroke event each year. The numbers are staggering. To help raise awareness, Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-3) has introduced a resolution in the U.S. House of Representatives to recognize May as National Stroke Awareness Month! Remind Congress that AEDs Save Lives

The Rural and Community Access to Emergency Devices Program provides grants that allow states to purchase AEDs, train lay rescuers and first responders in their use, and place them where sudden cardiac arrest is most likely to occur. The bottom line is that AEDs save lives and we need you to urge your Members of Congress to support this program today!
