Ask your Representative to support Lauren’s Law, HB 3724, which will create the next generation of Illinois lifesavers by ensuring all Illinois high schools provide CPR training to students before they graduate. Lauren was a senior in high school when she collapsed during drill team practice of a sudden cardiac arrest. She was surrounded by teammates and coaches and there was an AED located nearby. But when paramedics arrived on the scene, they found that no one had used the AED on Lauren – something that could have saved her life. Sadly, Lauren died but her family and organizations like the American Heart Association are working hard to ensure she has a lasting legacy through Lauren’s Law which would require all Illinois high school students to learn the life-saving skills of CPR and AED use.
