Sadie. Move.

by Becky S. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013

Working from home has its perks and its downsides. I am lucky enough to be able to work from home from time to time. I have found that it is much easier for me to fit exercise into my routine, if I can cut out the 40 minute commute time to and from the office. The downside is that I am sitting either in, or close to, my kitchen, where cabinets of food beckon to me while I work. The other downside is that Sadie sits on my stuff. Here she is, pretending to care about a Massachusetts-based CPR in Schools campaign.

I actually do care about this campaign, because it is really exciting and I hope the excitement will spill across the borders to NH and ME. Massachusetts’ legislature operates a bit differently than ours. They meet all year, have a lot more staff, but don’t do any curriculum development, so a state law won’t change what they teach in MA schools. So, their CPR in schools campaign looks different than the one we tried in Maine. However, I believe that the prep work and story collection that they are doing will help all of us in New England. I look forward to seeing their progress and learning from their experiences. I hope that Maine will revisit CPR in schools in the next few years, so I am tracking what happens in Mass.

I have also successfully moved Sadie to a chair, so I can get on with my work.
