Colors of fall

by Allyson P. on Wednesday, October 17, 2012

The foods we love in the summer at cookouts may be not on your menu now that summer is over, but not to worry there is plenty of fresh food to enjoy this fall! The fall brings an assortment of delicious and heart-healthy fresh fruit and vegetables. What foods do you like to eat in the fall?

Fresh foods are not only tasty, but can help you feel better, get healthier and avoid heart disease and stroke. Fall brings its own color wheel of seasonal fruits and vegetables. Deep colors like oranges, reds and purples are especially prominent in the cooler months. • Fresh Fruits are really good source of anti oxidants. As a public health practitioner I would highly recommend eating fresh foods daily.
