Each year, the American Lung Association takes on the role of teacher to evaluate the states and how they are doing in tobacco prevention and cessation. This week, they released the State of Tobacco Control. It is a great opportunity to review how we are doing on a national level, but also to asses each state's effort. And the results?
For Ohio, the results aren't positive. We did receive one A in smokefree air! However, in comprehensive tobacco prevention and in cessation efforts, the Buckeye state received Fs. Our last grade, regarding the cigarette tax, was a D.

We can do better. And, we should!
Take the first step in correcting our grades. Send a message to your legislators, let them know we can do better and we SHOULD do better. Send your message today!
