On Monday, February 11th, we're partnering with the University of Mississippi Medical Center to offer free Hands-Only™ CPR trainings at the State Capitol for all Legislators and Capitol Staff that sign up. Please invite your legislators to sign up for this event today!
Through scientific research, the American Heart Association has been able not only to create specialized training for professionals, but to lead the way in developments like Hands-Only CPR for bystanders, so that more victims have a chance at survival. It was 2008 when we first endorsed Hands-Only CPR – the two-step technique of calling 9-1-1 and pushing hard and fast in the center of the chest until help arrives. Through our Hands-Only CPR Ad Council campaign and other exciting initiatives, we're spreading the message that anyone can and should learn the simple skills that can save a life.
