Governor Jack Dalrymple kicked off the opening of the 63rd Legislative Assembly with his traditional State of the State address on Tuesday, January 8th. In his speech, Governor Dalrymple noted North Dakota would “fund our priorities responsibly, build strong reserves for the future and provide tax relief whenever possible.” With the recent economic boom in North Dakota, the governor emphasized the need for infrastructure support in roads and housing development, as well as the need for increased law enforcement.
