I left for school the morning of May 13, 2010 just like any other morning...but that day would end up very different than the rest. I collapsed at school because of what we now know was an undetected birth defect. I had no warning signs before my collapse.
Due to the quick response of my fellow students, teachers, the school nurse, resource officer, CPR and an AED….I am alive today. I am so thankful there was someone able to start CPR as well as use the AED at school that day. I have since completed CPR training in my health class as well as my other family members. I am proof that CPR saves lives and support teaching students these life-saving skills.
