I am living my best dream!
At a time when everyone said I had every right to feel weak, I found my strength. At 50 I laid on a floor as CPR was being performed on me. I have suffered a massive heart attack, 2 aortal bypasses, and was close to losing my legs and kidneys. It has been a long road, but with the help of my loving family, great friends, many wonderful caring doctors and the American Heart Association I am still here fighting. Heart disease does not define me, but it helped make me who I am today. In January of 2012 I recieved my knew aorta, and in May I walked my first 5k, and in August I ran up 94 steps at Tahquamenon Falls. A few years ago I couldn't walk a block, but with the AHA and the research they support..I AM A SURVIVOR!
