The new "F as in Fat" report shows sobering data for Wisconsin.

by Jason H. on Friday, October 12, 2012

According to the new report: F as in Fat: How Obesity Threatens America's Future 2012, the adult obesity rate in Wisconsin could hit 56.3 percent by the year 2030.  Click here to read the report on Wisconsin.

Obesity is mainly caused by taking in more calories than are used up in physical activity and daily life. When people eat too many calories, or too much saturated fat, trans fat and cholesterol, their blood cholesterol levels often rise. Being obese puts you at a higher risk for health problems such as heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes and more.
