WHY
Over the past year, the IL House EMS Task Force has held hearings throughout the state to receive testimony on issues facing EMS. The recommendations made at those hearings, which include increased funding for EMS services and reforms designed to make it easier for EMS agencies to provide quality care, have now been put on paper in the form of the House EMS Task Force Report, released last 11/20/12. In response to the release of this report, a coalition of EMS providers and stakeholders is forming to support legislative efforts to turn those recommendations into realities. The sole purpose of this coalition is to build political support for EMS, and we need your help to get it off to a strong start.
TO RSVP: please email Alex Meixner with the American Heart Association at alex.meixner@heart.org.
