Steve, Idaho
On May 22, 2010 I suffered a stroke. I was helping my mother- and father-in-law move into their new home across the street when I started to feel different. I went to walk back to my house and my left side went numb. I knew something was wrong. My family immediately called 911 and I was taken to a hospital in Boise within an hour and had treatment to remove my clot within another hour. I serve as a bereavement counselor for Legacy Home Health and Hospice and lead three support groups a week. When I had his stroke, I thought it was “my time” but I’m a fighter!
