My name is Jamie Morgan. I joined the AHA in October of 2002. As Senior Government Relations Director, I develop and implement the AHA's legislative program for California and Alaska. It has been a privilege to lobby for policies in the Legislature and the community that promote nutrition, physical activity, tobacco control, access to care, emergency cardiovascular care and other issues related to the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. It has truly been an honor to work with volunteers and advocates on such important life-saving issues.
Before the AHA, I worked in the California State Legislature and also served as a volunteer in the United States Peace Corps for two years as a Community Development specialist in Nepal.
