Stephanie Moss Kansas

Stephanie Moss, a native of Brinkley, Arkansas, relocated to Kansas City, Kansas in 1971 with her family and attended public school in the Kansas City, Kansas Unified School District 500.

Early in her education journey it was quite obvious that health and wellness, social justice and advocacy were here passion. Stephanie Moss earned her Associate of Science Degree in Nursing at Kansas City Kansas Community College. After gaining a very diverse nursing background, the desire for continued education lead her to graduate studies at the University of Mary, Bismarck, ND in the area of Nursing Administration and Business Management.

Stephanie is the President/CEO of SM Consulting where she provides a dynamic group of nursing services, consultation, training and education. She is also the founder of the community-faith based organization, One Step Closer, whose sole purpose is to provide human/social service referrals as well as health care navigation to individuals and families that are uninsured, underinsured and vulnerable populations.  Her motto is  " Meeting People Where They Are".

 As a Registered Nurse, over that past fourteen years, Stephanie has provided leadership, consultation, quality management/enhancement and nursing supports in various clinical, community and public health settings. Most valuable experience in the clinical setting, to include but not limited to the following; medical surgical, cardiac, and critical, intensive care, telemetry, corrections, behavioral and women’s health. Her latest skill set has been in the area of SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner).

Most recently Stephanie has traveled  to Washington DC along with her daughter, who is an aspriring Cardiologist, to advocate for the American Heart Association. She is highly involved in our SKIP the Salt Initiative, where she promotes healthy, low sodium habits as well as providing community education on the risk of increased sodium intake.
